Apparently there is a new snake on the prowl in the world of home based businesses, and it's the home based business reviewers. These folks claim to have reviewed home based business opportunities and tell you the truth on which ones work and which ones don't work. So I've been suckered in by a lot of these home based businesses in the past, actually, just about every time I see an infomercial after a couple drinks I'll dial up and order. But last night I decided to do a little research before making my wine induced purchase, and check online for scam reports, and I came across some of these home based business reviewers sites.
So I find one at homebasedbusinessreviews.com, and wow do they have a lot of information about different products, what they think, what works, what doesn't, what their thoughts are etc. So as I'm looking through the site for a review on my "new opportunity" I notice that on every page there is an advertisement for a product that these folks are obviously an affiliate for...Wow, so these guys have tested all this stuff and this is the only one that works - I'm hooked - guess I'll have to follow the link and check out the product. So I do, and guess what, it's a scam. Basically, you buy a teaser product for 20 bucks (an e-book) and then read through it and it's the same information that's in every other e-book related to home based businesses I have read. Oh, guess what else, on the last page of the book it offers to sell you another set of products that will make you money hand over fist...blah...blah....blah. Really, are you serious, this is the new angle to try to get you to buy stuff and to make affiliate cash - you have got to be kidding me.
Of course everyone is honest and trying help/look out for you - d'bags. Yeah, I'm dumb, and fell for it, and you know what I realized - I've tried every one of the products that this punk has also so I'm going to start a blog to not only post reviews of those products, but I'm going to start by reviewing the so called reviewers to expose them.I am sick of all these guys, and I'm sick of being ripped off, and I'm sick of consumer agencies not dipping into this space to regulate this industry.
You know what it is, it's home based business porn. We'll start by giving you a membership to our site, then we'll upgrade you to the cool package so you can have streaming video, but if you really want we'll give you the mega platinum package that includes everything (even 24/7 support, and a coach :) ) payable in one easy installment of 10 grand.
So here's what you can expect from me...If this blog gets traffic of course I'm going to try to monetize it and make a little extra cash - I'll tell you that up front ,but I will never advertise or link to any of these sites - period. If it works I'll tell you it works but I'll configure the name so it's not a link like above with the home based business review .com, but I'm willing to bet a lot of them don't work. Anyway, I'm not doing this to make money, I'd like to start a consumer movement to expose these fruit loops for what they are - scammers!!!So you'll start to see more blogs about this stuff starting with the home based business reviewers. In addition, post comments on the ones that are rip offs and help people understand the truth, and if it gets big enough maybe we can start an action group to start lobbying for legislation to regulate these so called opportunities - thanks for reading!!!

The Home Based Business Model - How it Rips you Off
Every home based business product that I have ever purchased, and some real estate/note products all operate on the same business model, and it's designed to rip you off! The first step to these opportunities is always clever marketing in a number of forms, TV, email, phone, etc. If any home business opportunity that you are about to purchase matches the following description please do yourself a favor and don't purchase it, or if you do purchase it don't fall for the up-sell tactics.
The first step in any home based business opportunity is clever marketing. Most of the recent attempts to solicit me have all been via email, but regardless of the media used it's the same thing. The marketer has been beat down by all the rip off scams out there related to home based business, real estate, selling notes, and the like. However, they have a unique knowledge about working from home opportunities because this individual has been exposed to all of these different scams, and based on all these scams has developed their own which includes all the information that you need! Pause...STOP READING...This person is trying to rip you off. What the next sentence in their email, add, or whatever, should say is, " I have used this knowledge to create an information product on creating a business that will rip you off in the same way that I've been ripped off!" But let's face it, this marketer has already sucked you in and now they want to give you a taste.
So the second step in a home business scam is to give you a taste of a lead-in-product. This lead-in-product will give you an overview of what you're trying to do in the business opportunity, which will be to create an information based product and market it. However, what the lead-in-product will not tell you is how to market it effectively so you'll be forced to spend additional money on other products like, coaching, mentoring, marketing ads, a website, etc. Better still, maybe this person is an affiliate for the lead-in-product, or maybe the lead-in-product is to become and affiliate for them. Either way, you've just wasted 50 bucks, unfortunately sometimes more.
If you're still taking the bait, the third step is to up-sell you the other products. In many cases you'll have to qualify for these products - because they don't want to take any unqualified "yahoos" money - right? Everyone is always qualified it's just another trick to make you think you're special. So the pricing will work something like this:
- Introductory Coaching - $2000
- Mid Level with Website - $5000
- Super Pimp we give you everything - $8000
Of course this all comes with some type of guarantee which they know you'll never claim, or be able to receive. At a minimum before buying one of these packages try to get your money back for the introductory guarantee and if it's not easy - don't buy.
So this takes us to the last piece of the offer which is the money back guarantee if you don't make money. To this I have 4 words, "GOOD LUCK GETTING IT!" It will be difficult, if not impossible, to get your money back. So there you have it, I could have charged you $50 minimum to learn how to rip people off with your own home business opportunity! Hopefully, instead you won't be buying any more of these people's garbage.

Had Enough of Home Based Businesses
Well, I fell for it again. I received an email today for another home based business opportunity, and unfortunately I bought it. I continously manipulate myself into thinking that one of these "opportunities" has to be real. To date I have pretty much purchased anything I've seen on an infomercial, more than once, or received multiple emails about. These "opportunities" have been related to real estate, informational products, buying and selling notes, pyramids, e-Bay, etc.
While some of these products did contain some useful information most of them were crap, and under delivered on their commitments. Additionally, they all seem to be based off the same "business model (if it can be called that)." Today I decided that I'd had enough of being ripped off by these programs and have started this blog. The hope is to review one product every couple of days and report on it, while creating a forum for others to share their experiences. Included below are some of my rules for operating this blog:
1. I'm not here to rip you off. I won't link to or recommend any programs that I have not had success with myself.
2. I've put honest effort into anything that I am blogging on.
3. I will only be an affiliate for programs and will let you know when I recommend something if I'm an affiliate or not.
4. Since this is a blog, I have nothing to up-sell.
5. I will never have a 5 page sob story about how I was ripped off and created a new program that actually works - that line's been all used up.
There you have it, really simple operating rules so there will not be any confusion. So keep an eye out for future posts, and I hope you enjoy the blog.
